The Technical Affairs of IIITDM Kancheepuram actively promotes and manages all technical projects, events, and activities that take place in the Institute.The council is made up of coordinators, faculty, and student members, all of whom are enthusiastically working to advance the institute's technological capabilities.

Objectives of Technical Affairs
EXHIBITIONS
To promote and encourage the interest of the students in developing working devices and physical models and to conduct the Annual Model Exhibition.
TECHNICAL EVENTS
To promote and encourage computer-based activities including creative software, graphics-based models, games, and other challenging applications, and to organize competitions in this area.
VASHISHT
To conduct the technical festival VASHISHT for students annually at the institute level in collaboration with academic departments and clubs.
FOSTER COMPETITIVE TEAMS
To help the competitive team get their resources and required approvals from the institute side for their growth.
TECHNICAL MAGAZINES
To bring out the technical magazines edited by students.
LECTURES
To arrange lectures by eminent speakers on emerging areas of science and technology.
SEMINARS
To arrange seminars & Symposia in emerging areas of Science & Technology.
STUDENT CHAPTERS
To promote the process of opening student chapters of professional bodies in the Institute.
STUDENT PARTICIPATION
To encourage and manage the participation of IIITDM students in reputed national-level competitions
STUDENT ACTIVITY
To support specialized student activities with technical content, e.g. the Robotics club.
INDUCTION
To induct fresh UG and PG students into technical activities in a friendly manner.

To identify, support, and monitor competitive teams and clubs in the area of technical activities.
